Mandal was selected in Nepal Under-19s fourteen man squad in the 2008 Under-19 World Cup, making six Youth One Day International appearances in the tournament.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Under-19 ODI Matches played by Anil Mandal )〕 In 2010, Mandal was selected in Nepal's fourteen man squad for the 2010 World Cricket League Division Five in February 2010, making his senior debut in the tournament in a controversial match against the United States. Just over a year later, in December 2011, Mandal played for Nepal in the 2011 ACC Twenty20 Cup, making five appearances.〔 Nepal finished the tournament in fourth place and therefore qualified for the 2012 World Twenty20 Qualifier in the United Arab Emirates.
